Ryder Cup Trophy
Since it's inception in 2003,  this Ryder Cup style event has fast become one the most popular and anticipated events of the season.   Players born or residing in Hibbing comprise the Hibbing Squad while players born or residing outside of Hibbing make up the World Team.

Like the Ryder Cup and the American Team,  the Chukka Cup has seen the Hibbing Team dominate early on.   However in 2007 the World team stopped the reign of terror with an 18 to 12 victory over the highly favored Hibbing Squad.  That was followed up by an exciting 14 to 13 victory by the World squad in 2008 for their second title.

In 2009 it looked like the World team would make it three in a row after a dominating performance on day one and victories on the first few matches on Sunday.  However Hibbing made a spectacular comeback on the back nine to squash any hopes of a World team victory.

The event was not without controversy however as the Hibbing rally took place only after previous captain John Furin was seen distributing little white pills to members of the Hibbing squad.   Brian (Ten Beers) Anderson's questionable strategy on day two fueled speculation that the better team may have simply been out maneuvered.
